Biathlon NSW conducts weekly training in Sydney and through Australian Biathlon, the National Federation brings opportunities for specialist training and camps in Sydney as well as on-snow at Mt Hotham, in other regions and states and as well, in Europe and New Zealand.
Biathlon NSW is a branch of Australian Biathlon, and as a result, every athlete has automatic access to training opportunities organised by the National Federation and invitations to events of our other state and regional affiliates. The National Federation brings opportunities for specialist training and camps in Sydney as well as on-snow at Mt Hotham, in other regions and states and as well, in Europe and New Zealand.
High Performance Training Camps
Preparation for 2018 Winter Olympic Games
Australian Biathlon has a series of Australian and European training opportunities for our High Performance Athletes through the year. Our National High Performance Coach, Luca Bormolini has scheduled training programs in preparation for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Korea. Nation Points and team participation are essential to obtain just one nation place at the Olympics. Gone are the days of individual performance. The IBU focuses on team performance with highest points gained at relay events.
