The Australian Olympic Committee has been just marvelous with its support for Australian Olympic sports including Biathlon. Not only did AOC president John Coates organise Australian participation ith the Olympic Council of Asia, his team at the AOC and OWIA pulled out all stops with logistics and paperwork to make the games happen for 30 Australian Winter sport athletes. Today's session was a bit different. Instead of our usual roller skiing we did a session on strength, fitness and balance. The idea was to provide everyone with the knowledge to be able to train at home or at the gym. There were a number of drills working on the different parts of the body. Some of the drills used equipment such as barbells, dumbells, medicine balls with an emphais on good position and movement to avoid injury and to get the maximum benefit. We did a number o
Flanagan and Colebourn qualified for the pursuit today. The field was impressive with world cup athletes charging up the difficult hilly course. Ubaldo Prucker, IBU delegate and friend of the Federation designed the course. He chuckled saying the course is now more interesting.
