Australia’s top ranking woman biathlete Jill Colebourn was at the SSAA Ladies Competition at St Mary’s in May to promote our sport. Jill fielded enquiries as most there hadn’t before seen a biathlon rifle. She also took part in a Rimfire Benchrest Match, and took silver place.
Great training session today despite the threat of rain. Myah led the group up to the bubbler and they practised Long glides without poles. I stayed with Ro who attended for the first time. After the normal session we went back up the road at a good pace to where it splits around the island . Myah had raced Alberto earlier, so I could just about keep up with him. Thx Myah - you can have a half-share of my coaching fee of $0.
Thank you to everyone in our community! We all pitched in to fundraise for our guest coach programs this weekend at the cake stall and sausage sizzle. Thanks to Justine and Myah for promoting our baked yummies, and to Li, John and Phil for their work all day selling sausages by the hundreds. Juel and Jenny, your gluten-free delights were sought after, Kate- people returned to have more of your cinnamon muffins, Li - your gingerbread men were a drawcard to bring kids in; Alex
