Alex Almoukov, our guest specialist biathlon coach is part of the AOC's team at the Winter Youth Olympic Games 2020. Alex has been appointed as IOC Athlete 365 and is the liaison for athlete services, assistant manager for performance for biathlon and cross country skiing and as well liaison for the Athlete 365 Education Program. Our AUS girls raced at Ridnaun Italy and Pokljuka Slovenia last night, both Sprint events. Jill Colebourn scored her Personal Best with IBU Q-Points 118.66, placed 38th! Congratulations, Jill! AUS has not had this caliber of Woman athlete for over 20 years. The IBU hold in such high regard results under 125 points that just one result <125 is qualification to IBU World Cup. Australia was represented for the first time in over 2 decades at the IBU World Cup Women's by Jill Colebourn. Jill at her first World Cup raced amongst the biathlon greats, and was pleased she scored IBU points of 163.23. This means she's qualified to race at World Cup in trimester 2.
