Sunday Training - 14 May 2017

I started my training session by breaking a pole so it's just as well today's training was focused on technique without using poles. Coaches Jill and Martina had us throw away our poles in order to focus on balance and using our legs. We found the lack of poles hugely benefical as it removed a distraction and forced us to focus on our technique weaknesses.

The addition of brakes for two of the juniors meant they could confidently go down the steeper hills. But what goes down must go up, and if going uphill using poles is hard imagine how much harder it is without poles!

And most importantly today was Mother's Day and without Mothers willing to get up at 6am on a Sunday morning to take their child to training there would be no Biathlon. Thank-you Mums!
