Masters Winter Biathlon camp -day 2
The snow cover has been quite patchy over the last few days. As I lie in bed I could heard the rain falling and I feared the worst. To my surprise the next morning the rain had turned to snow and there was now a lovely fluffy cover of white over everything.
The groomers hadn't had a chance to flatten the new snow so skiing was hard work.
In the morning the Masters trained on the range with zeroing, single shot drills and a relay style exercise. At times the wind was making it quite difficult.
In the afternoon, because of the soft snow half the group went for a classic ski. For me it was the first time in about 15 years but I think I got the hang of it and enjoyed it.
With the new snow if the temperature stays low enough then it it's looking good for this weekend's races.
